CompoPac® is an innovation of TVU Garnvertrieb GmbH and Weinhold Textil GmbH. Why we teamed up to develop a compostable packaging net for fruit, vegetables and Christmas trees? Because we don't want our children to drown in a sea of polypropylene, polyethylene and the like.

As an owner-managed textile company, TVU is a strong partner to many well-known weaving mills, knitting mills and producers of technical and medical textiles. Their core competences lie in yarn trading as well as in yarn finishing.
Weinhold Textil GmbH
Since 1882, the name Weinhold Textil has stood for high-quality knitted fabrics that more than meet the ever-changing customer requirements. With the help of state-of-the-art machines, the family business now produces compostable tubular packaging nets.
In the last 70 years, around 8.3 billion tons of plastic have been produced worldwide. It's not just that this garbage has by no means been decomposed to this day ... more and more of it is being added. And regardless of whether plastics are properly disposed of or not - the majority simply ends up in the environment.
That is why avoiding packaging waste is the most sustainable way. That is why, with decades of experience and concentrated know-how, we ensure that plastic nets are replaced by environmentally friendly alternatives.
